The library is open for the use of all Harlem residents. We also need the residents of Harlem to contribute to maintaining a high level of service. You can help by becoming a Harlem supporter of Walton Library.

The Harlem Supporters of Walton Library have the following goals:

  • To maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries.
  • To promote good reading habits.
  • To focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs.
  • To stimulate gifts of books, magazines, videos, desirable collections, endowments and bequests to the Harlem Library.

As a supporter you can help by:

  • Sharing your knowledge and abilities.
  • Using your library.
  • Planning activities.
  • Promoting your library to others.
  • Organizing and giving programs.
  • Raising funds for activities and programs.
  • Teaming up with the library staff.
  • Educating yourself and your family.
  • Raising community awareness.
