Lemming as we fondly call him came to Cob Kennels in 1999 at the same time that Rem came to live in the islands and share a life filled with dogs.  The name Lemming came from one of Billie Myers' song, Coh and Rem's ... lemming on a cliff

He came from down south to be shown, a welcome addition to the Herding Group, a gift from HAROLD GO, a good friend of Coh.  From time to time, Lemming goes inside the ring.  Collies are hard to breed in the tropics.  Somehow, the breed could not fully adapt to the climate and they do get stressed out.  We know what happens when dogs are under stress, don't we?  The change in environment from south to north caused Lemming a year-long of allergy reactions.  For awhile, he looked more like a giant Chinese Crested.  Coping up from one rash to another, we gave up on taping his ears to properly set it, a perfect example of how one ruins an otherwise good show prospect.  Some dogs are probably best just for loving ... and Lemming, is definitely that!

Everything we know of Lassie, those who grew up watching the reruns, it's true ...  Lemming is a living proof and it's not just in the movies!
