When I looked out the window that very morning, I exclaimed, "Oh how beautiful!". Everything was coated with at least half an inch of ice. It looked like as if everything was made out of glass or crystal. So peaceful, so cold. Cold?! That was when I felt my room was freezing. There was no power! Food. We need to stock up on food. So my friend Pia, who stayed over the night before, went with me to the store. Until we left the house, I did not realize that one of nature's disaster has struck the city.

I spent almost 1½ months in Thailand last year. Went to Phuket for about 2 weeks in April and then back there again in August. This time I stayed for 3 weeks. During my second trip I covered Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket. Unfortunately I did not take a lot of pics on both trips.

Perth (Western Australia), 25 December 1999 - 2 January 2000
Perth.. its HOT HOT HOT during summer! *lol* Be prepared to bake under the sun and beware of that darn annoying GIANT HOUSEFLIES! grrrr.. But overall, it's still a very beautiful city by the west coast of Australia. I was lucky to have Gazza showing me around. We covered more than 3,000 km in a week. The few main places which I visited were Wave Rock - Hyden, Albany, Valley of the Giants - Walpole, Margaret River (famous for its winery), Bunbury and Fremantle. The highlight of this trip was I got to attend my very first Rave Party!!! What an experience! Thanks Gazza! Oh yeah.. guess what's the theme of the party? "Pornstar 2000". And NO, you're not getting a copy *lol*. Well enough of yakking and let me transport you virtually to Perth.

Sydney... the very first city I went to meet friends from OptiChat. You won't know most of the people in these pics as they don't go to Opti anymore. To name the very few that I've met and they are Nexus, Skywalkasgal, KiNKy and Matti. Nexus and Skywalkasgal have since became very close friends with me.. they are just like my real life bro and sis. KiNKy is still alive and kicking. If you want to know more about him, ask Valentino aka Boom Boom Boom. That's his youngest bro. As for Matti, I have lost touch with him. Hey Matti, wherever you are.. hope to see you play in the World Cup one day!

The pictures here are from the two trips that I've made to US. The first trip was in July - August 1998 and the second was in January - February 1999. Among all the states, I still like California especially San Francisco. The view of the bay is awesome but the colour of the sea isn't as spectacular as the ones in Perth. I did not take a lot of pics on my second trip as the weather was too gloomy and most of the pics turned out to be quite dark. Oh well.. shall go in summer the next time round. Both SF and LA has a very good and wide selection of authentic Asian food which surprises me. Maybe that's why I love it there. ;-) Oh yeah! Clam Chowder from Fisherman's Wharf.. Mmmm... *thumbs up*
