MY FAVORITE KIDS' AFGHANS

Child's Teardrop Charity AfghanMy own pattern for a teardrop afghan- many size variations given.	Bev's Large Granny AfghanLarge Granny afghan pefect for kids' charities. However, "Holey" or lacy patterns such as this are NOT usually recommended for kids in the hospital since IV's, tubes, etc. can become tangled in the holes. Darby's Diagonal Box Stitch Afghan Created by Sandra Petit of Crochet Cabana- very cute!	Samantha's Box Stitch AfghanA straight box stitch afghan, again by Sandra Petit of Crochet Cabana. Another very cute kid sized afghan!	Marla's Baby Shell AfghanA nice 36" X 45" pattern I created basically for babies and toddlers but use any colors and it serves a child up to Preschool age or 48" or under.
Star Shell AfghanListed on a Project Linus website, these shells form a "star" pattern- nice size for kids of all sizes too!	Adult Ripple Afghan My own creation- an adult sized ripple afghan that works up great in any combination of colors. Don't forget those teens need to stay warm too and many of them aren't small sized!

Newborns in Need
Serving babies ranging from very tiny preemies to newborns in any type of a crisis situation. Many live in shelters or foster homes and have literally nothing. Others are tiny preemies and newborns with serious medical problems. Can use blankets and afghans (as well as any other baby items) from preemie sizes to larger 36" X 45" for larger babies. Friends of Pine Ridge ReservationThere are many places verified by FOPRR that need warm children's clothing and blankets on the reservation. Most of these people have literally nothing and live in abject poverty.

Named after the Peanuts character who carried a security blanket, Project Linus provides blankets to kids from birth to 18 in any traumatic situation whether illness, foster care, disaster or whatever the need is. There are many Project Linus chapters throughout the country.
