Child's Teardrop Charity Afghan
My own pattern for a teardrop afghan- many size variations given.
Bev's Large Granny Afghan
Large Granny afghan pefect for kids' charities. However, "Holey" or lacy patterns such as this are NOT usually recommended for kids in the hospital since IV's, tubes, etc. can become tangled in the holes.
Bev's Kittens in a Row Afghan
This afghan looks like kittens peering over a fence- cute!

Marla's Baby Shell Afghan
A nice 36" X 45" pattern I created basically for babies and toddlers but use any colors and it serves a child up to Preschool age or 48" or under.
Star Shell Afghan
Listed on a Project Linus website, these shells form a "star" pattern- nice size for kids of all sizes too!
Adult Ripple Afghan
My own creation- an adult sized ripple afghan that works up great in any combination of colors. Don't forget those teens need to stay warm too and many of them aren't small sized!

PLACES NEEDING CHILDREN'S ITEMS

Newborns in Need
Serving babies ranging from very tiny preemies to newborns in any type of a crisis situation. Many live in shelters or foster homes and have literally nothing. Others are tiny preemies and newborns with serious medical problems. Can use blankets and afghans (as well as any other baby items) from preemie sizes to larger 36" X 45" for larger babies. Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation
There are many places verified by FOPRR that need warm children's clothing and blankets on the reservation. Most of these people have literally nothing and live in abject poverty.
