QUICK DINNERS


These are some meals my kids love and only take about 30 minutes and cost around $10.

Hamburger Casserole
1 lb. of hamburger
1 cup of cheddar cheese
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
Bacon bits
Instant potatoes (about 6 srvgs)

While hamburger is browning, cook the instant potatoes. Drain grease from hamburger. Spread hamburger in a baking dish, cover with potatoes, add cheese and bacon bits and bake at 350 for about 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.


Pizza Burgers
1 lb hamburger
1 can of pizza sauce
1 pkg. of hamburger buns
1 pkg. of mozzerella cheese

Brown hamburger, drain grease then mix in pizza sauce. Arrange bun halves on a cookie sheet, spread hamburger mixture on buns top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and bun is toasted.
If you want to cheat you can leave out the hamburger and buy pepperoni and just top the buns with the sauce, cheese and pepperoni and bake.
Rigatoni (my personal favorite)
1 lb of hamburger (it's cheap *L*)
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 box of rigatoni noodles
1 pk of mozzarella cheese
Brown hamburger (suprised?) while boiling water for noodles. Drain grease and add spaghetti sauce and simmer on low while noodles are boiling. When noodles are done mix in the hamburger mixture (drain the noodles first, duh...)add the cheese simmer on stove until cheese is melted. That's it!

Tuna Nuna Casserole (that's what we always called it *L*)
1 bag of noodles (I like the little ones, noodles that is)
1 can of tuna
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of peas
cheddar cheese
potato chips

Cook noodles, mix in soup and tuna, simmer for about 5 minutes. Put in a casserole dish, top with cheese and crushed potato chips (it's great trust me and my kids love crushing them up) bake until cheese is melted and serve. Sometimes I get different kinds of pasta noodles for the kids like the abc ones or bowties. Makes it fun.

This is a contribution for a summer treat from a friend of mine, Dale:
Take 1 pint vanilla ice cream, 3 ripe bananas, a pack of frozen strawberries, and a can of pineapple juice, blend til creamy.

This has no name, I just made it up one night in a hurry but it's good:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Spaghetti Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese

Brown chicken in the oven, once brown poured spaghetti sauce on the chicken, bake at 375 for 30 minutes, top with cheese.

Chicken Club Sandwiches

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
4 buns
Lettuce and tomato slices
slices of cooked bacon

Grill or broil chicken for 7 to 10 minutes, until cooked, I brush on just a little mild barbecue sauce. Top with lettuce, tomato, bacon and enjoy.

This is another Dale original.
1 lb hamburger
1 pack Lipton Noodles and Sauce Beef flavor
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 can Green Giant Mexicorn
4 oz shredded cheese

Brown hamburger. Prepare noodles per directions. Combine w/hamburger, add chili powder, Green Giant Mexicorn...stir until hot, add the cheese, stir til melted, then serve.
