Almighty God, grant that during our watch my partner and I
will keep safe the lives we are sworn to protect.
May we help those who are confused to make right choices,
comfort those who are afraid, protect all life and property,
and claim victory over the evil which continually tries to invade
our neighborhoods, homes, and schools.
Allow my dog's love for me and for his work to be an example to others of dedication to duty and to give glory to You,
the unchanging source of unconditional love.
And, when our shift is over, guide my partner and I safely home
to be with our loved ones and to prepare ourselves
for any way we may be of service to You.
