FAMILY TRIBUTE Page

Tribute to Family

Today make every effort to cherish your family members.

Tomorrow may be too late to make amends.

Thanks Belinda for reminding me of the importance of family.

I am the fourth daughter in a family of five children;
younger is one brother; older, all sisters.
One of them is only 39 minutes older than me.
And I'll always be taller![family joke]

Mom and Dad, the things you used to say! For example Dad used to say

andMom used to tell us

Dad is gone now but we depend so much on computers now.

Perserverance is an excellent character quality.
And Mom, I'm learning to be nice or be quiet.

My eldest sister, Adelle, died 1992. Her daughter is now married and has two girls. Her son has grown into a good looking young man and become a loving dad. The Davidson branch of the family now has 4 babies: Jordan and sister Jaymie and Tamara and Kodee.
Along the Ross branch of the family, Jason and Sarah, have Danton and Madison. Their uncles are Geoff and Christopher.
My daughters are both grown. And my grandson is grandsonWayne.
My twin sister and I celebrated our 50th!
She and her husband have 3 children, growing quickly through the teen years to adulthood. My younger brother has 3 children also.

My second eldest sister died November 26th, 2000 after living courageously with cancer. Arlene thrilled at her daughter's wedding and then enjoyed playing with her grandson, Danton. She counted every day as precious.

Do you need someone to talk to? resources? The Canadian Cancer Society is an excellent resource for cancer patients, family and caregivers.

Many family and friends grieved my eldest sister's death when she was murdered July 7th 1992.
Too many women suffer violence at the hand of their spouse. Watch for the warning signs and learn to offer support without condoning abuse. Stay involved even if it seems you are being driven apart. Violence must not be tolerated.
