Keesler AFB Mar 1968 - Dec 1968   Electronics School (Burroughs Computer -BUIC)
Back Up Intercept Control.
This unit presented Radar targets on screen for Fighter intercepts.
Baudette AFS Dec 1968 - May 1970   First Assignment, 692nd Radar Sq.
BUIC was a backup site for Duluth AFB, Air Defence
Command weapons controller. Sister site was Calumet AFS.
Tyndall AFB May 1970 - Apr 1971   Second Assignment, BUIC site covering the
southern border of the U.S.
Baudette AFS Apr 1971 - Oct 1973   Third Assignment requested after re-enlistment.
FAA Facility Will Rogers Airport Feb 1973 - Jul 1973   TDY 6 Months FAA school for the Q47 Radar
computer processing unit. This unit processed several Radar
sites and fed all information to the BUIC computer.
Located in Oklahoma next to Tinker AFB.
NATO (SHAPE) Oct 1973 - Nov 1976   Fourth Assignment at a communications squadron US attachment.
14 member nations at the time. Worked for Gen. Alexander Haig
and provided support for secure communications in the WAR room. Targets, Telephone, and Teletype. Awarded the "Joint Service
Commendation Medal" by Gen. Haig Supreme Allied Commander
Rickenbacker AFB Nov 1976 - Jan 1979   Fifth Assignment, Communications squadron providing support for
the SAC base commander in scrambling KC-135 aircraft for refueling duties.
