Satellite feeds

Lit up in the Holidays.

1993

I first got into C & KU band satellite, when my uncle gave me his hurricane Andrew damaged dish and O.K. Houston Tracker 5 receiver and positioner, back in 1992. I went ahead and installed it myself, dug the hole, pour the cement, and connected the amplifiers to the receiver. Just when I got the dish quad panel's together, the damn thing falls apart. I went ahead and bought a horizon to horizon 8' paraclipse solid dish. The reason I bought this dish is because I wanted excellent Ku feed for the Miami Dolphins games (back when NFL raw feed's where in the clear). While I had the dish, I surfed over past Spacenet 2, where the international feeds are, I first caught the Spain feeds that are still strong today, then I got the weak feeds with a 8' dish and 35 degree amp, like worldnet, canal france, reuters feed from london, and various feeds from South America.

Then I got married and moved my dish from my parent's house. I replaced my dish to a 10' mesh dish with the original horizon to horizon motor mount, new Houston Tracker 5 IRD and a 20 degree amp. Boy! What a difference those international feeds come in much clearer.

Below I am posting the international feeds I received here in South Florida past Spacenet 2. NOTE! My KU Transponder channel number may be different to your receivers, due to the non standard KU band, frequency # will also slightly vary, and all reception are received in NTSC, except for Canal France thats in PAL format and only needs a vertical adjustment on the TV. Signal strenght goes by 110% is very strong to 60% very weak.

My dish scanning the skies!
