JOYCE'S TESTIMONY

I was raised in a Gosepl Hall until I was 19. On May 15, 1985, we were having special meetings. The meetings usually ran for 4-6 weeks. Albert Hall and James were the preachers. I became very soul troubled and for 3 days I stayed home from school in my room reading my Bible and doing all I could to get saved. On May 17, 1985, I was reading all the tracts, books, ect. that my mom had given me; my mom was not saved at the time. Around noon, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to a yard sale, at this time in my life, I went everywhere with my mom, but this day I was really struggleing and I never answered her. She ended up leaving without me. While She was gone, I was reading a tract that had John 14 in it. I decided to check the Bible to see if it was a King James Version tract, and I kept reading. When I got to verse 20, "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you," it was then I knew that all God did He did for me. I asked the Lord to be my personal Saviour before my mom came back from the yard sale.
On May 17, 1990, I was baptized and joined Calvary Baptist Church in Nova Scotia. A couple of years later I started to teach Sunday School.
In June of 1993, I graduated from Weymouth Consulidated High School in Weymouth, Nova Scotia. In August of that year God called me to go to FaithWay Baptist College of Canada in Ajax, Ontario where I stayed until 1995.
January 8, 1996, I started dating the best guy in the whole world, William Blair. On August 25, 1995 He asked me to marry him and I happily said, "YES!!!!" We had a 2 year engagement, and for that time I back and forth from Guelph, Ontario to Weymouth, Nova Scotia.
July 18, 1997, I proudly became Mrs Joyce Blair instead of Joyce Melanson. Me and my wonderful husband now live in Guelph, where I teach Sunday School at my father-in-law's church, and my husband leads the singing and preaches from time to time.
Now we are just waiting to see what the Lord has in store for us. Alot of new things are happening...
  1. My husband and his dad just started an new business called BILMAR Dock and Door Service
  2. To see the church grow...for right now we have 3 Sunday School children
  3. We are hoping that God will bless us with children soon.

All I have I owe to God.
