Lost Love

The moonlight's not so bright tonight
The stars are only few
Or maybe it just seems that way
Because of losing you.

The park is just a place to go
And sunup's just a dawn
Things that meant so much before
Mean nothing since you're gone.

My laughter that once flowed so free
I find cannot be forced from me.
My heart that once felt full with joy
Now just feels like a discarded toy.

I wonder if this hurt will heal
Or if I'll stay the same
You may be gone, but here with me
Our memories will always remain.

Unless I can erase them...
Which I will not do.
I can't pretend, I know myself
I'll stay in love with you!
