My Christian Poem Page

Welcome to my Christian Poem page. My name is Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler and I am in my 40's now. I became a Christian in 1969 and was Baptised in the Ocean,in Santa Barbara, Ca. All of the following poems were written by me in the years of 1969 - 1971, during my first years of walking in my new life and I wanted to express just how much Christ had changed my life and what it meant to me and wanted everyone to have this same experience. A new life, walking with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. If you enjoy them your more than welcome to copy them to share with others.

"I Will Shout And Sing"

I dearly love the Lord so, and everyone will soon know, for I will shout and sing, of the many wonders his love brings. Shame and reproach gladly bear, His glory forever I'll share. Although my heart is tempted to sin, Jesus will help me, for he is within. Jesus is a compassionate friend, one who can make your troubles end. His love never can befall, for its the greatest love of all. I praise our Saviour for loving us so, of his love we all should know. He is so precious to me, Trust, have Faith, and you'll see. For I will shout and sing, of the many wonders his love does bring. by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler" 1969

"I Prayed"

I prayed and God did hear, because he stays very near, He is here by my side, because I need him as my guide. I prayed for a very close friend, who was deep in sin, Now she has opened her heart, and Jesus is there never to part. All you need to do is pray, pray for him to come today, he will come if you really try, he will come to be your guide. When he comes into your heart, you'll know the feeling from the start, you'll feel your born again, you'll know that he is within. by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1970

"The Wind"

I recall sitting under the trees, in the forest, listening to the breeze, the wind would blow making a sound, I'd look around, but the wind could not be found. I knew the wind was there, but it I could not see. I'd just sit and listen to it blowing the trees. The branches would sway back and forth, First to the east and then to the north. I would sit and listen to the birds sing, and watch the ants walk in a ring, I always thought of how great God must be, to create this world for you and me. I'd sit alone and look at the flowers, I'd sit and look for hours and hours, and think who could of been so great, to create the trees, grass, birds, flowers & lakes. To think he created Adam and Eve, and that he sent his own Son to Calvary, to die for you and me, so much love has he, If you want to hear what I heard, listen to the wind in a tree. by; Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1970

"Only God"

Man can make a pavement black He can make a railroad track But only God can make the sky black Man can make an airplane He can also make a train but only God can make it rain. Man can make an automobile He can also make a wheel But only God can make a hill. Man can make cars He can make them travel far But only God can make a star. Man can make a spoon He can also make a loom But only God can make the moon. Man can make hot dog buns They can make games, which are fun But only God can make the sun. Man can make lots of things, just like you and me but only god can make a tree. Man can make many things to help our nation But only God can give us salvation. by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1969

"When Life On Earth Is Through"

When my life on this earth is through I'll be starting a life all new I'll meet the one I Love so much His hand I'll be able to touch. I can see him appearing in the sky Floating down on a cloud, from Heaven up high His arms reaching out to us all All who are waiting for his call I can't wait to see that day for then on this earth I won't stay What a beautiful day that will be when God I'll see. On that day I'll be going home Home to stay never to be alone My brothers and sisters will all be there So much love we'll have to share by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1970

"What Can I Be?"

I can grow big and tall, and sometimes hardly grow at all My arms can grow long they too are big and strong God made me, what can I be My trunk is brown It comes from up beneath the ground in the fall, Part of me is hardly here at all God made me what can I be ? At times I am green at other times I'm dead it seems I grow up out of the ground, God made me, I am a Tree.. by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1969

"Somebody Prayed"

Somebody prayed and the sun gave light, This light was wonderously bright, Helping the flowers grow. One after another all in a row Somebody prayed and flowers bloomed bright and pretty all in a room Some were bright yellow and green What a sight it did seem Somebody prayed and the stars did shine which made the sky look so fine Somebody prayed and the story was told of his wonderous love and of the unseen things above Somebody prayed and in many hearts Jesus came never to part this was their plea for Jesus died for you and me Somebody prayed and people found the Lord who loves them best Their faith and love he will test to see if they have faith in thee everyone even you and me somebody prayed and the birds did fly overhead althrough the sky Somebody prayed why don't we all try by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1969

"What A Change"

What a change in my life has been brought since Jesus came into my heart since he entered in and forgave me of my sins Now I pray to him every night and things always turn out right for he's always there and he always cares My troubles I take to him He always has an answer for them He never lets you down thats why I haven't a frown I am happy most of the time living thru Christ makes me feel fine always helping those who need it and giving to those who seek it. by: Audrey "Mckinley" Wenzler 1971
