THERAPY ON THE HOOF

I have enjoyed taking my little hooved friends to visit nursing homes. It is such a joy to see how much joy it brings to someone who just can't get around much anymore. They appreciate it so much. My friend Debbie Thompson and I have done this for years. We first started with taking Rabbits. We don't charge the home anything. We are always asked why we do it for free and whats in it for us. Simply put we do it for ourselves as much as for the tenants. Yes its true we don't make any money doing this but we get something in return which is much greater and that is a joy in our hearts. It gives me the greatest joy to see their faces and appreciation. There is no greater joy than the joy of giving. I have included a few photos from nursing home visits. Another friend of mine, Myia Nave, goes to the nursing homes with us and she likes to bring her goats. I have included a slide show of her visits to the nursing home. If you would like to see the photos please click on the "Myia" icon below.
