Maureen's (and other peoples) quilts..the real ones

These quilts are some I have actually completed..now if I can only get to the zillion UFO's I have, I can add more to this page.
Chloes quilt
This quilt was actually a group project I started when a fellow guild member was injured in an accident. Members of our guild made heart blocks, and My Mother-in-Law, Dixie and I sashed them, and put them together into this quilt. Instead of a heart Block, Norma opted to make the heart strips for the borders. Deb volunteered her services as a quilter, and quilted it on her longarm for us. Chloe was thrilled with her quilt, and it proudly resides on her bed in her home.
Guild Banner

This is our Guild's new banner quilt. It was a combined design effort from several members. Sewn by a committee of wonderful ladies...it truly is a reflection on all of us. It proudly is hung at all guild functions.

My Wonderful Stained Glass Round Robin

My Wonderful Stained Glass Iris Round Robin.
OK.. So it isn't actually done..but it is scheduled to be quilted in February. I did the Iris Center, Randy was the next border..way cool squares. Marilyn did the green triangle border.. Very nice. Jan did the excellent Celtic border, and Karrin did the pretty and very effictive twisted ribbon border. I absolutley love it ! It will hang on my living room wall when it is completed.

My Floral Log Cabin quilt

I made this quilt with blocks from a swap. This is it hanging in our guild's annual spring quilt show. It placed first in the Group Quilts catagory in the Peoples Choice voting. I love this quilt. Deb Barth professionally machine quilted it.

I made this quilt out of blocks from an Ohio Star Birthday Block group I participated in. I placed the blocks on point, and used a setting out of a book called "Sensational Settings" I love the pansy print I used to sash, and border the blocks. This one is now on my bed. It is professonally machine quilted by Deb Barth.

Heather's Quilt

My Daughter Heather made this quilt..her first (and she says her last!! ) It is made out of flannel, and tied. She uses it constantly and drags it around with her everywhere.. Very cuddly and soft.

Teacup soft Sculpture

This was my first attempt at a soft sculpture..yes, I do know that this technically is not a quilt, but it is quilted..by hand..
I had fun making it, and it has found a home with my friend Randy.

I hope to add more to this page as I actually finish quilts... Let's see..there is the Pansy quilt..Mom and Dad's quilt..the Purple Sisters Quilt..the Blue one for my sister... Andy's Texas quilt.. The twins's football and baseball quilts.. you get the idea right??? LOL :-)
