On this page we will offer various articles and tips from other breeders as they submit them!

So let us hear from you!

I will even start you out with my favorite! The best thing in the world to kill the ammonia smell in your barn is vinegar! Yep... plain household vinegar will neutralize ammonia completely. Just wet down your floors under your cages or add a little to your pans if you use pans and wah-lah, fresh air!

Tip number 2!
Traveling with rabbits?
Whether you are traveling in a van, car, or pickup... the worst problem always seems to be will the rabbits get enough air while on the road. There is a simple solution! Go to your nearest car parts store and buy a little fan that plugs into your cigarette lighter! It has a bracket that is easy to mount wherever you want and you can direct the airflow! This works great for me! I have a pickup, with a topper on it, and I have a pass through window so I hung my fan there, and can send the air conditioning or heat right back to the rabbits. "Presto" lots of fresh air and the temperature I want it to be

Tip number 3!
Going to the nationals, or other large cooped show???
Buy yourself a large rubbermade tote, or a trash can on wheels. With the tote, you can put it on your carrier cart. Either way you now have a chores station on wheels. In either one you put... garbage bags, feed bucket, water can, scraper, hay, and bedding. You then just pull it from coop to coop. You claen out your cages using the scraper into the garbage bags, then rebed, then feed and water your rabbit. When done move on to the next cage! Easy as pie, and a lot better than carrying everything!
