Playing with the Dana Volunteer Fire Department

Created 8/22/98

The Dana Fire Department also likes to have their fun. In the pics that follow, they are getting all wet playing in the 'Chatsworth, Illinois Fire Departments Water Fights'. This is a way of getting some of their frustrations out plus training on how to handle a hose all at the same time. If you ever get a chance to go and see some of these, you'll really have a great time. But don't stand too close...you might get wet!

"Getting ready to start"

When the water starts, it can get real wet if you stand close enough and the wind is blowing the right way.

"Getting wet is half the fun!"

The audience can have as much of a good time as the firemen. They come in all ages and genders. You don't have to be a man and over 21 to enjoy the fun.

Can I have a bite?

And some lucky fire department always comes out a winner! These winners were from Bloomington, Illinois with help from our 2nd Assistant Fire Chief Dave Lynch.
