Excellent web page! I am some what familiar with your fire district as I attended Eureka College, and have traveled through your town. I am a 3 year member of the Byron Fire Department. I am a paid-on-call firefighter, EMT-B, FAO (Fire Apparatus Operator)
training comittee member and President of our fire association. Our department has 11 full time staff, 25+ paid-on-call partime firefighters, and 3 telecommunicators. My full time occupation is a teacher in Stillman Valley, Illinois. Please check out our

just viewing some F.D. sites. I'am a Capt of an
engine and rescue company. We average between 350 to 4175 runs per year no medical. We cover 2.2miles and have (4) engines (1) Tower (1) HEAVY Rescue and (1) Tanker. three GMC surburban command vehicles assigned to each fire house. We
are a volunteer dept. We have a heavy commerical area plus 5 different major highways going that have 200,000 vehicles travel on them each day. Apparatus breakdown. (2) 1986 Hahn Pumpers (1)
1990 Pierce Pumper (1) 1998 KME pumper (1) 1998
LTI tower ladder (1) 1985 2000 gal tanker.
