1. What are you doing now?

I am a marketing programs manager for GE Information Technology Distribution, managing E-Commerce and Java programs for the reseller channel. I've been in the above job for less than one year, for six years I worked for the national Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National geophysical Data Center, in the solar physics division. I did lots of their marketing materials, as well as trade shows, and was their webmaster and publication person. I've actually head authored and co-authored some refereed journal articles in geophysics, which is unique considering I'm a philosophy major. My job title was "associate scientist". Pretty ironic considering I hate math. 2. Are you married? When? Kids? How old?

Single, no kids. Two "feather kids", a red-lored amazon parrot (three years old) and a gloster canary (seven years old).

3. Most exciting thing to happen to you since we graduated.

This is too difficult a question. A lot of things have happened since graduation. One great thing is that a friend held a surprise party for me for my 26th birthday and over 40 people came! That really made my day. I've won a few awards at work, that was great too! I've travelled as much as I can, and all my trips back to Hong Kong, visiting Carlo Cruz in the Philippines, etc. have been great fun. Its been great to show boyfriends/friends where I grew up, too. Seeing old friends from HKIS periodically is great... I've kept in touch with many folks, Bill Erisman, Jen Bostwick, Mike Pelphrey, JC Hamill (left in 11th grade), Kelly Ostheller, Julian Neale, LynnLy Scofield (left in 9th grade), Janet Blyberg (left in 9th grade), Trevor Willis, Carlo Cruz, Darren Prodger, Cathy Harris, etc. I've seen all of these folks in the last few years and I love having visitors and visiting. Some of these visits have been highlights since graduation.

4. Any graduate work?

My degrees are a BA in philosophy, an MBA with an emphasis in information systems, and an MS in marketing, all from the University of Colorado.

5. Who do you most want to contact from our class/expect to see at the reuion?

I'm looking very forward to seeing Cornel Stander. Wish we could get Julian Neale at the reunion, been a couple of years since I've seen him.

6. Funniest memory from HKIS?

Remembering a bunch of us crying hysterically in the unbearably hot brand-new high school gym during graduation. I remember Darren Prodger crying, and that set me off. It was actually pretty cool that so many people were that emotional.

The geese senior prank that didn't quite work was also really funny. Ned Gallagher refused to touch the poor birds, and our family dog was so hysterical about the geese all night she kept making them honk. I remember Mike Pelphrey and myself, running at top speed all the way from the rugby field to put the geese in the fountian, one goose under each arm, and running fast because they kept on reaching around and biting our butts! Those geese were so happy splashing around! I guess only a couple of schoolbuses got there early enough to see guards chasing geese. By the time the majority of the school got there, the gaurds had caught them all.

And... there is always the Bill Erisman spoon story. Nobody other than Bill remembers it like I do (I was sitting next to him when he swallowed it).

7. What was your "Ten Years From Now?"...Did it happen?

My remake of "Don't Worry, Be Happy Would hit number 1"... didn't happen, but hey, I still remember all the words. And I still sing all the time, much to everyone's chagrin.

8. Now that we've grown up, are you what you wanted to be? What do you want to be?

I'd still like to get into a social role, somehow helping people (or animals). Maybe doing PR for a social agency or something. Still don't really know what I want to be when I grow up. I would LOVE to move back overseas again, though, and I'd go almost anywhere.

9. Favorite HKIS teacher? Least favorite?

Favourite: #1 was Dr. Penha, but other great ones were Dr. Goodyear, Mrs. Carreon, Mrs. Maakestead, Lesley Lewis. Least favourites: Senora Rayton (the worst!) and Mr. Keegan.

10. How many cities have you lived in since graduation?

Only 2, been in Boulder Colorado for 9 years! I'm about ready for a change. But I travel as often as I can afford.
