The people and places listed below have been instrumental in the search for our family:

My Mom and Dad! Without them I wouldn't even have a tree to search. My mom works very hard at her computer entering information for hours and hours, and trying to make new connections.....thanks to her I will be able to pass our families written, and very well organized, history down to my boys.

Phillip and Carolyn-good friends for many years and once our neighbors, are also deep into the genealogy search. Upon viewing my homepage, Phillip saw some names that looked familiar. After some talking we discovered that he and I are cousins several times removed. We are related through Susa (Simmons)Turner (who is my gg-grandmother) her sister, Georgia Paralee(Simmons)Ferguson (who is Phillips gg-grandmother). What are the chances that your friends can turn out to be your relatives? Better than you ever thought......apparently! Thanks, Phillip and Carolyn for being such good friends and Relatives.

Karen contacted me through the internet saying there were some names on my home page that were familiar to her. She had the dates of her Great Grandmothers (Maude Josephine)birth and death and the names of her parents. After a little comparing we discovered that her Grandmother was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Maude Turner. Benjamin and Maude had 12 children one of which was Clara Maybell who married and had Karen's father Mike, and in turn Mike married and had Karen. Benjamin Franklin and my Great Grandfather (James Monroe Turner) were brothers. Cousin Mike, Karen and Family........WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!! We are so pleased to have made this wonderful connection.

Thanks to all the wonderful kinfolks we met in Oklahoma at the Turner reunion. We took digital pictures of some picutres that relatives had there and I have put them on the Turner Picture Page. A big Thanks to Dan and Barbara for taking us to the cemetary in Oklahoma and showing us family gavestones and for sharing their family information with us. Michelle, thanks for keeping in touch after the reunion. We are looking forward to attending the reunion next year and meeting with our "new" family members again.

A big THANK YOU goes to Geocities, for my little corner in a big space.
