Bjorn's Babies!

The following are pictures of the offspring of our stallion Bjorn-Knutson. Hope you enjoy these beautiful babies!

Our first foal by Bjorn is Dun Lookin' Silregn, born April 17, 2000 (her name means "Pouring Rain" in Norwegian; that's what it was doing the night she was born!) Silregn is out of our mare Paradise's Emily. And, she stood 41" at the withers at birth!

Silregn enjoying a nap in our front yard at about two weeks old.

Our second foal by Bjorn, Dun Lookin' Oskar just seconds after entering this world on the evening of May 30, 2000. Oskar is out of Ellinor (24 years old when Oskar was born) who was born in Norway and imported to the US as a three year old.

Ellinor and baby Oskar at about 10 hours old.

Emily and baby Olga.

Father's Day Brunch, al fresco!

Olga and Skye getting better acquainted (that's Amy in the background).

Up and running at just an hour old! Once steady on her feet, Olga spent the next eleven hours upright; we finally felt sorry for her at 10:30 that night helped her learn to lay down!

Although this handsome boy is not ours, he is by our stallion Bjorn-Knutson (our one and only AI baby). Odhinn and his mom Dina live in Texas with owner Heidi McCarty.

This nice filly is Nordlys (also born in 2000). She is out of the mare Islys (who is a daughter of Ellinor and by the stallion Sleipner). Islys and Nordlys are owned by Jennifer McCaw of Parkdale, OR.

Einar Bergstadt is a fine 2000 colt, shown here at 4 months old. "Bergie" is out of Two Rivers Anja, and resides in California.

Dun Lookin' Oskar at 5 weeks old.

Here's Silregn at 3 months with "Mom" Emily. Having "Lunch"!

Silregn at 3 months and Oskar at 6 weeks, doing one of the things that Fjords do best; EATING!

Silregn showing off the results of all that eating!

Oskar and Silregn bringing Tillie a Sunflower that they picked all by themselves from our back yard!

Silregn and Oskar with good friend and playmate Skye, our Border Collie!

Oskar and Skye playing together in the pasture. You may notice that both of them are totally airborne!

There's more great pictures left to see!
