Bjorn-Knutson & Bud (aka Dad). These two really were "best buddies".
Despite the fact that Bjorn was nearly 7 years old when we got him, and had had no previous training, he took to both riding and driving very easily.

When we first got Bjorn he was in sad shape indeed. He weighed in at less than 730 lbs in the picture below, taken within the first few days after bringing him home in October 1998.
The picture below was taken on 4th of July weekend, 1999. It's hard to believe it's the same horse! Bjorn weighed around 1100 pounds in this photo.
