| Meet Sister Eunice! |
|
Sister Eunice is 96 years old today! You would never know if I did not tell you. She looks and acts much younger. |

 Profession in Poor Clares |
On June 24 Sister Eunice celebrated her
96th birthday. It was a gala celebration complete with a beautiful cake, cards,
gifts, singing and bubbles. All of us had a tremendous time, and we talked about
it for days.
Sister Eunice spends her days praying for everyone, helps with
drying dishes, and does her beautiful yarn work. She still tells a most
intriguing, entertaining story. She reminisces about bringing a beautiful,
delicious chocolate cake which had been locked up in the Sisters' special
refrigerator to a group of hungry for cake student nurses. Sister Eunice had the
key to obtain this marvelous delicacy. En route to the student nurses' quarters
and on a very dark stairway there appeared, from nowhere, the Sister Superior!
Sister Eunice stopped breathing, covered the cake with herself in a very dark
alcove and the Sister Superior walked past with only the darkness as the witness
of the deed. Sister Eunice then breathed freely and everyone enjoyed the cake. |
