Mother Teresa Comes to Visit

Mother Teresa's Visit
 
In May, 1976, Mother Teresa came to Omaha to receive a National Award from Boys Town for her great charity. She came to our monastery, visited with us, and stayed overnight. We were very impressed with her humility and charity. As soon as she came into our monastery, she wanted to make a visit to our chapel.

We remember breakfast with a chuckle when we think of Mother Teresa putting sugar into her water instead of her coffee! She drank the sugar water rather than throw it out.

We were certainly blessed with Mother Teresa's visit. We keep this picture in one of our guest parlors.

May Almighty God bless you.

May he look upon you with the eyes of his mercy and give you his peace.

May he pour forth his graces on you abundantly,
and in heaven may he place you among his saints!
