A Few pics of Sydney & Penrith

Check out the weather in both Richmond (close to Penrith) and Sydney

As you can see, because Richmond/Penrith is further inland, the temperatures and weather conditions can vary quite a bit.

Where We Are.

A View of the Nepean River

Penrith is about 50km west of the Sydney CBD situated on the banks of the Nepean River at the foot of the beautiful Blue Mountains. It has a population of aprox 170,000 As well as the many scenic and historical attractions, it is the home of the Panthers Rugby League club. The club is the largest licensed club in Australia and covers about 200acres! There are many indoor and outdoor activities there including Cables Waterski Park. Penrith will also be the venue for the 2000 Olympic rowing events.
The Three Sisters - Katoomba
Legend is that these were three daughters of an Aboriginal Chief, who at the onset of a tribal war, turned his daughters to stone to protect them. He was killed and they remained as stone.
They are one of the many beautiful things to see in the mountains, Katoomba is also home to the worlds steepest railway, that descends into the Megalong Valley. There is also a sky car that stretches across the valley, from which you can view some lovely waterfalls.

Aerial View of Sydney

Sydney, home to over 3.5 million people from all over the world. On the edge of one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, the weekend playground for many. A mixture of history and modern technology. There is of course the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, lovely to look at, a nightmare in peak traffic! Our coastline is full of some of the worlds best beaches as well.

A different view of the city, taken above Centrepoint Tower, which is currently our tallest building at over 80 stories and has a revolving restaurant and lookout observatory on the top.

One of our harbour modes of public transport, an hydrofoil, passing Fort Denison. The "Fort" is a small island in the centre of the harbour which was built as a defense area during the war. The guns on Fort Denison have never been fired in anger. After the war it was made into a small prison and is now a popular historic tourist attraction.

The scene on Sydney Harbour during bicentennial celebrations
