Grandparents

Hi! I’m Willa. I actually signed up for Homemakers as my topic, but since nobody had Grandparents on their list, I volunteered to browse those sites and see what I could come up with. I’m so glad I did!

First, I have a confession to make. I’m not a grandma. Nor a grandpa, either! Hehehe… But, I WANT TO BE!!! I’m old enough! My daughter and her hubby are old enough! And they HAVE been trying, so hopefully, and God willing, it won’t be too much longer that I can speak with you about Grand parenting with impeccable credentials!

But I know good grandparents when I see them. And I’ve seen several this weeks as I was browsing through the Grandparents section of Geocities. It didn’t take me long to find GrannyGoGo’s page. I cracked up! She is just so spunky! And her sense of humor is great! But I saw the “real” granny when I went to her “Those Little Darlings” page. That’s the kind of grammaw I want to be! Go to her site and have a few chuckles.

Another site I visited was Lee Ward’s . This is a beautifully made site, and contains some genealogy, some poetry, and her grandchildren (naturally!). But what impressed me most was her memorial to her little Grand Angel, Conner, who was taken from them by SIDS. She and her daughter are striving to heal the hurt by educating people about SIDS. You will find her site at

If you are a grandparent and have your grandkids on your site, and I can’t imagine you wouldn’t, email me your web address. I’d love to feature your site here at Heritage! Just remember, the sites must conform to the Yahoo Geocities terms of service and have at least three pages of your own content. And if you need help with something on your pages, then let me know! I’d love to help!

So, till next time…

Good night! Don’t let the bedbugs bite!
