Home Schooling

Hi! I'm Terri, one of the Heritage Community Leaders.

I have 2 teenagers and since they were little I had thought about homeschooling them. I really wish I had started from the beginning. I did homeschool my daughter for 1/2 year this past year and I enjoyed it for the most part. I work full time so I bought Switched on Schoolhouse CD's. She enjoyed it, but she missed her friends. So needless to say she is back in Public School although a different one than before.
I am still homeschooling my son. He is a sophmore in High School. He was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6. I wish I had taken him out of school then. He is interested in cars, so most of our schooling involves everything there is about cars. He is trying to rebuild a Camaro. We just hope the weather warms up soon so he can do more with it. He also enjoys working with wood, so his Dad is teaching him how to build houses and do roofs and decks, etc...
While I was deciding on whether to homeschool or not I searched the internet on a daily basis! I have lots of links to great homeschool sites and I want to share these three with you. This first site is a great site. She has homeschooled for many years and can answer almost any question you have. She also has a homeschool webring that perhaps you would like to join.
