Welcome

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation
of my heart be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."

To tell you about myself, I need to share some of my most intimate personal relationships. The first, is my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without this relationship, there could not be the intense love I have for my family and friends. Because Jesus first loved me, I can love and be loved.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, to an impoverished family with two brothers and five sisters. At the early age of 9, I was walking to church one morning, in tears as my mother and father had been fighting again, when I cried out to God and said, "I can't live like this anymore." A few months later I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I did not realize at that time I would need to surrender all that I am and allow Him to be Lord of ALL my life. I still had some mountains to climb and valleys to wander through.

The second, is my husband, Scott. Scott is my second husband. I had previously married at the tender age of sixteen and that marriage lasted for almost ten years. When I met Scott, I believed he was sent by God to rescue me, to comfort me, and to love me as I had never known love before. My husband's love for me is a love that cannot be adequately expressed in words alone. He is my partner in life as God intended a husband and wife to be. He is loving, caring, and supportive in all that I do. He is my caregiver in my personal health and in spiritual growth. I love and respect him dearly.

Last, but certainly not least, are my four wonderful children who have blessed me with seven intelligent, loving and playful grandchildren. To the entire family, I am known as "Mema".

I am at peace with my music of worship and praise. Many of my favorites are from Maranatha. Play a cello for me and I will be the epitome of peace and tranquility. God has blessed me here, as well. All four of my children are string musicians; cello, violin, and viola.

My health has been compromised the last couple of years. In March of 1999, I joined an online support group and a lot of my time is filled sharing with others that can relate to what I face on a day-to-day basis. I have made many new friends here. In November or December of 2005, I embarked upon a new journey. For a few years, I had become very interested in Native American Flute music. I would go to fairs and listen to musicians playing, purchased their CD's, and found myself totally intranced. I knew I had to purchase a Native American Flute (NAF) for myself and learn to play. My Flute Journey begins here.

Please feel free to email me and share your thoughts.
