Miles Beaman, son of Rhoda and Abraham Beaman, was born ca. 1801 in North Carolina and died sometime before the 1860 Census was taken (after 1869 probably in West Florida?).  He married 1st. Marge Graves on 3 January 1819 and 2nd. Mrs. Sarah Hightower.Sarah Hightower was born ca. 1808 in Tennessee and died about 1875 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is believed to have been buried unmarked in the Chireno Cemetery in Chireno, Nacogdoches County, Texas.Miles is found  in the 1850 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas and in the 1854 School Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.  He is also on the 1857 Tax List of Nacogdoches County, Texas. Sarah Hightower Beaman is found on the 1860 Census, the 1861 and 1862 Tax List and the 1870 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Josiah S. Beaman, son of Marge Graves and Miles Beaman, was born ca. 1830 in Pike County, Alabama.  He died about 1898 in Gidding, Texas and is also buried there. He married 1st. Susannah E. Atkinson on 15 December 1853 in San Augustine County, Texas; and 2nd. Cornelia Sanders in 1893.Josiah can be found on the Confederate States Army Muster Roll #14 and on the 1861 and 1862 Tax List of Nacogdoches County, Texas.  He is also listed in the 1860 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Elizabeth H. Beaman, daughter of Sarah Hightower and Miles Beaman, was born 12 August 1844 in Texas and married Warren Hillard Barnett on 26 January 1860 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Warren Hillard Barnett, son of Josephine Hightower and John Landy Barnett, was born 11 September 1832 in Russell County, Alabama and died 12 March 1920 and is buried in Blue Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.Warren can be found in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas and in the 1867 Voters Registration of Nacogdoches County.  He served in the Confederate States Army in Waterhouse's Company, Lane's Regiment and received Pension # 12551 and Confederate Mortuary Warrant #2939.
