Mansfield Amos Burnaman, son of Phillip Burnaman, and brother of Wiley Lafayette Burnaman, was b. 9 July 1857 in Newton Co., Miss and married Harriet Saline Barnett, daughter of Elizabeth H. Beaman and Warren H. Barnett, on 9 January 1877 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx. Elizabeth was b. 10 November 1860.  

In the 1880 Census of Nacogdpches Co., Tx. they are found listed as follows:

2. Minnie C. Burnaman, b. 2 November 1879 in Nacogdoches Co.,  Tx.; and died 10 January 1970 and is buried in Shady Grove          Cem. in the Shady Grove Community of Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  She married Walter Byars.
3. Phillip L. Burnaman, b. 22 January 1882 in Nacogdoches Co.,  Tx.; died 24 December 1968 and is buried in Swift Cem. in                Swift, Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  He married Lillie Fuller, who was b. 10 October 1883 and died 4 August 1968 and is buried in            Swift Cem.

Wiley Lafayette Burnaman, son of Phillip Burnaman, and brother of Masfield Amos Burnaman, was b. 9 July 1859 in Tx. and died 18 February 1940 and is buried in Blue Springs Cem. in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.    He married Sarah Cathon Miley, daughter of Nancy Puckett and Hillard Miley, on 11 November 1880 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.

1. Rufus Mansfield Burnaman, b. 27 March 1893 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.
2. Oscar Lafayette Burnaman, b. 9 July 1886 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.

Louisa A. Burnaman, daughter of Emily Johnson and Phillip Burnaman II, was the first wife of Melvin Geter Blanton.   Melvin Geter Blanton, son of Sela "Celia" A. Jones and Thomas Blanton was b. 20 January 1837 in Alabama and died 2 March 1905 (court records), and is buried in the Swift Cem. in Swift, Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  They were married on 2 November 1865 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.

Melvin married 2nd. Susan Frances Baker, daughter of Sarah Isabella Harris and William M. Baker, on 3 August 1876 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  Susan was b. 10 October 1848 and died 29 May 1924 and is buried in the Swift Cem..  She recieved Confederate Pension #16115 and Confederate Mortuary Warrant # 7436. 

Melvin is listed on the 1861 and 1862 Tax List; the 1864 Relief List; the 1870 Muster Roll; the 1870 and 1880 Census of Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  He served in the Confederate State Army in Co. A., 17th Regiment Tx. Cavalry and was captured at Fort Hindman, Arkansas Post, on 11 January 1963.  He was taken to Camp Douglass, Illinois until a later exchange.

4. Dovie Emily Blanton, b. 29 March 1873 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.
5. Malinda Anne Blanton, b. 17 March 1873 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.

Joel Pinkston Blanton, son of Louisa A. Burnaman and Melvin Geter Blanton, was b. 19 August 1866 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx. and died 15 July 1930 and is buried in the Swift Cem. in Swift, Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  Joel married 1st. Amanda Corine Dickerson on 17 December 1891 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.; and 2nd. Elizabeth "Lixzzie" Frances Daniel on 5 November 1896 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  Lizzie was b. 10 February 1882 and died 17 November 1960 and is buried in Swift Cem.  He is found in both the 1870 and 1880 Census of Nacogdoches Co., Tx. 

Children of Elizabeth Frances Daniel and Joel Pinkston Blanton: 
1. William Adlee Blanton, b. 8 July 1900 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.; died 24 August 1947 and is buried in Swift Cem.
2. John A. Blanton, b. 25 October 1904 and died 1 December 1965; buried Swift Cem.; Pvt. Co. C.,65 Med. Tng. Bn.; WWII; married Eveyln Coptez, who was b. 26 July 1919 and died 25 December 1944 and is also buried in Swift Cem.


John Lee Blanton, son of Louisa A Burnaman and Melvin Geter Blanton, was b. 5 February 1868 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx. and died 9 December 1946 and is buried in Swift Cem. in Swift, Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  He married Sarah Etta Lee, daughter of Steve Lee, on 10 September 1888 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  He is in both the 1870 and 1880 Census of Nacogdoches Co., Tx. 

Malinda Ann Blanton, daughter of Louisa A. Burnaman and Melvin Geter Blanton, was b. 17 March 1873 and died 29 January 1918 and is also buried in Swift Cem.  She married John Thomas Cureton, on 10 December 1891 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.    John Thomas Cureton, son of Laura E. Laribee and Elias L. Cureton, was b. 25 May 1870 (1871?) in Nacogdoches Co., Tx., and died 15 May 1947 and is buried in Swift Cem.

Douglas Burnaman, son of Alma Layton and Erastus Burnaman, was b. 1 November 1911 and died 9 April 1974 and is buried in Simpson's Campground Cem. in Woden, Nacogdoches Co., Tx.

Phillip L. Burnaman, was b. 22 February 1882 and was the son of Harriet Saline and Mansfield Amos Burnaman.  He married Lillie Fuller, daughter of Josephine Green and Benjamin Franklin Fuller. He and Lillie had twelve children, all b. in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.     Lillie Fuller, was b. 10 October 1883 in Nacogdoches Co., and married Phillip L. Burnaman on 26 October 1902.

2. Hazel Burnaman, who married Cesna Davis.
3. Harland Burnaman, b. 10 January 1908 and died 5 August 1965, he married Ruth Parrish on 7 September 1928.
4. Ruth Burnaman, who married Dick Baker.

Minnie Burnaman, married George M. "Mike" Manning, son of Elizabeth Strahan and George W. Manning, was b. 20 December 1877 in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.      Mike was killed by his brother-in-law, Sam Burnaman, on 27 May 1912 after an argument over some land.  He is buried in Shady Grove Cem.      Mike and Minnie had three children all b. in Nacogdoches Co. He was also a member of Woodmen of the World.

Fred Tucker Burnaman, son of Ruth Parrish and Harland Burnaman, died 10 July 1977 in Houston, Harris Co., Tx. and is buried in Shady Grove Cem. in Nacogdoches Co., Tx.  He married Elna Sue Strahan, daughter of Zertha Wills and Roy Cleon Strahan.
