With golden brown hair and dark blue eyes, Connor entered our lives. Weighing in at 9lb 8oz and 21 inches long, he was a big, healthy boy! Although Rob couldn't be there for the birth, there was family around to provide love and support. We had a FULL delivery room that at times included both sets of Grandparents, three Aunts and an Uncle! Everyone was able to take turns holding him after Amy was through :-) During our two day stay at the hospital, this picture was taken. (Awww) Grandma holding Connor
Connor, Amy and Tasha stayed with Amy's parents while Rob was in Cuba for the refuge crisis. When Rob came back, they flew 'home' to South Dakota. Connor met his Dadda for the first time on October 20th, 1994! They had lots of fun getting to know one another - and still do!

Whether playing with his Mama, Dadda or Tasha (our beautiful dog), Connor was constantly learning and trying new things. Before we knew it, his first winter was over and it was time for tourist season - lots of sightseeing and traveling to be done in the Black Hills.

Unfortunately, Rob had to go to Saudi Arabia for the summer, but we had plenty of family and friends come to visit and keep us company. In June, Connor's Grandparents came to visit for two weeks! We had a great time showing them around. Next to visit was Connor's Aunt Jen. She stayed with us for the entire summer. Amy was grateful for the company and the help she provided. And Connor just liked having another lady around to charm ;-) Then Aunt Jen's friend Melissa came for a week, followed by Amy's Uncle Dave. They all helped Connor celebrate his first birthday. Rob came home from Saudi in September and we spent the winter months alternating between play dates, running around in the snow and packing for our next move. We were headed to Incirlik AB, Turkey! In January of 1996, Rob, Amy, Connor and Tasha packed up the car and settled in... then drove from Rapid City, South Dakota stopping in Sioux Falls; Kansas City, Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee; Lynchburg, Virginia and finally New Jersey. The first night there, Amy took a pregnancy test and found out Connor was going to have a little brother or sister!!!

Connor made his first overseas trip in March, flying from Philadelphia to Turkey, with stop overs in the Azores and Italy. The different culture in Turkey was very interesting to Connor. He liked seeing new things and experiencing different activities. Before long, Connor was even speaking a little Turkish! He liked to say 'Merhaba' (Hello) to all the Turks.

Connor also liked to spend a lot of time playing with his buddy Ry. Which was fine with Mama, since she was best friend's with Ry's Mommy! LOL

Connor became a big brother on October 1st, 1996 when Aric was born. He liked to be Mama's big helper, getting diapers and such. But, Connor was still a baby, too, so Mama and Dadda made sure to give him plenty of Connor time.

Soon, it was Christmas and the whole family went back to the States to spend the holidays there. Connor was reunited with his Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles, and he was a happy camper.

We all had to go back to Turkey in March, but it was only for several more months. Mama and the boys went back home in October of '97 for Uncle Greg and Aunt Lauren's wedding. Dadda came for Christmas, and then again for good in February.

Our next move was to Delaware in March of '98. This was going to be close to home! We all settled in nicely and are enjoying being able to visit with family on a regular basis.
