Annoucing Two Engagements!

We have some exciting news in the StartedSingle Commnuity!  We have two members that recently became engaged to their partners!

On Saturday November 24th, StartedSingle member Selena and her boyfriend Dave got engaged!  Dave took Selena on a romantic get away planning to propose at the beautiful Niagara Falls. However, it did not happen quite as Dave had planned, and they ended up back at their hotel room. Dave had arranged for champange. chocolates and roses to be set out in their room to celebrate their engagement, however, the question had not yet been popped!  Despite the champagne, candy and flowers, Selena still had no idea what Dave had in mind.  Before she could get too curious, Dave went down on one knee and asked Selena for her hand in marriage.  After the shock wore off, Selena tearfully accepted his proposal.  An official date has not yet been set, but they are thinking about an August 2003 wedding.  We couldn't be happier for Selena and Dave; they are truly a couple meant for each other.

In addition to Selena and Dave's good news, we also have news about StartedSingle member Sarah and her partner Jim.  They became engaged on October 6th and are planning an August 17, 2002 wedding.  Sarah already has her beautiful gown and veil.  We love being a part of their wedding planning and wish both of them the best of luck!   Check back with us for their wedding updates!
FEATURED TIP:

Be thankful. It is all to easy to get caught up in the rush of everyday life.  You may go through the daily routine without even recognizing the gifts within each day.  You wake up, go through your day working or taking care of the house and family, and before you know it, you're back in bed just grateful to be done.  You may not have noticed how beautiful the sun was shining and how sweet the cold air smelled first thing in the morning.  You may not have thought about how good you feel; how lucky you are not to be seriously ill.  You may have taken for granted your partner's goodbye or hello kisses and the sweet hug your child gave you when they woke up.  Maybe you dwelled on the bills that are coming due and the lack of money in your checking  account.  Maybe you were stressed about the holidays and what to buy for people.  Maybe you spent more time worrying about what to make for dinner than you did being thankful that you had the money to the buy food in the first place.  It is not always easy to remember the good things in life.  Remember that rewards are not always big  but also small, subtle moments that make life worth living.  There are wonderful blessings in each day; remember to take the time to acknowledge them.
