This will become one of the main sections in the Tinnell, Tennille, Tennell Family History. Included you will find the major families, including the family of Francis Tennell and his wife Margaret Sinclair Tennell of Prince William County, Virginia. Also, the minor families are listed in this section. Minor families include at least two generations, but are considerably smaller than the major families. Finally, our Tinnell, Tennille, and Tennell "Orphans" are to be found in this section. What is an orphan? An orphan is a Tinnell, Tennille, Tennell and possibly the spouse, not connected with a second generation. In other words, an orphan for our Family History is not connected with a second generation. Like orphans in real life, we are forever hopeful to find a home for any of the orphans in the Tinnell, Tennille, Tennell Family History.
You will want to pay close attention to the numbering scheme that is in use to keep us straight about our ancestors. Notice that spouses are not given a unique number; married couples are referenced by the same number. The numbering works like this. The first known ancestor in a family is given the alpha-numeric number F1 if by chance his first name is Francis and he is the oldest known ancestor. His first child will have the number of F1.1, his second child will be F1.2, and so on. The first child of the first son of Francis will be F1.1.1. I hope that this will help you keep straight about our ancestors.
For each ancestor, it is our hope to include as many of the following items of data as possible.
- Complete Name: fist, middle, last
- Sex: Use M or F, only
- Born: date and place
- Baptized: date and place
- Married: date and place
- Died: data and place
- Buried: place
