Rainbow Girls

El Campo Assembly #94, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls meets every first and third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., at the El Campo Masonic Lodge, 1901 North Mechanic, El Campo, Texas 77437

What is the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls?

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) is a youth group for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Local groups (Assemblies) are sponsored by Masonic affiliations. Usually the sponsoring body is either a local Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter, or Order of the Amaranth Court. The girls learn about charity, hope, and service through their work and involvement with their annual local and Grand (state or country) service projects. On April 6, 1922, the degrees of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls were first exemplified on a class of one hundred seventy-one girls in the auditorium of the Scottish Rite Temple in McAlester, Oklahoma.

The Mother Advisor of the local Assembly is Denise Brodsgaard. If you are interested in becoming a member of The El Campo Assembly #94, or if you know of a girl between the ages of 11 and 20 who you think would like to become a member, or if you have any questions, please contact the Mother Advisor at this address. brods@wcnet.net
