Emergency meeting called to order by Pam Green at 7:10

Thanksgiving Family A family was chosen to receive the Thanksgiving Dinner, which is to be purchased by the Ladies Auxiliary. The family consists of 2 adults and four children ages 1 ½ months to 8 years of age

James and Maria Barroteran
Ilene 8, Rachel 6, Selina 2, and Rosa 1 ½ months
9315 Saddle Dr.

It was decided the meal would be purchased at Fry's Grocery Store and any other goodies are to be drop at Pam's house (1615 8th Ave.) by Wednesday, November 22nd. Cheri Allen will check with the family in regards to milk and formula needs of the children.

Community Events Gale read at Barnes and Noble from 2:00-2:30 on 11-16-2000. Barnes and Noble appeared well staffed and a little disorganized. This may not be the best use of our resources. We need to research the possible needs in our community for future commitments.

Possible community events/businesses needing assistance may be:

Bell ringing during the holiday season
Safe House with donated personal items
YMCA - newly established with unknown needs
Nursing Homes with visits and goodies

Fund Raisers: The pizza take-over at Round Table Pizza can be scheduled on a Tuesday with the time slot somewhere between 6:00-9:00 p.m. However the facility is unavailable until after the first of the year.

Additional fund raisers discussed included Bull Frog Season Tickets and a Rolled Taco Sale. It was decided the auxiliary would do the taco sale immediately as a source of income to defray expenses incurred with the sponsoring of families for the holidays. See Attached Flyer for information. Flyers were distributed to auxiliary members on Monday, November 20th

Bikes for the Holidays: Pam Green is heading up this project, which began with the letter submitted to William Robinson at YPD. The auxiliary has been approved for four bicycles and arrangements have been made to pick-up the bicycles tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in front of YPD. The Union has offered to assist with any repairs needed to ensure the bicycles are safe for use prior to giving them away for the holidays.

Special Occasion Fund voluntary donations were collected and given to our treasurer… Cheri Allen. Our first purchase with this fund was a cute baby gift of assorted toiletries, which was given to Valerie Bird for her new arrival.
