Cheesy Biscuits
2 cups baking mix (recipe to follow)
2/3 cups milk
1/2 to 1 cup (2 to 4 ounces) shredded cheese, such as Cheddar, Colby, or Marble
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon parsley flakes
Mix the baking mix, milk, and cheese until a soft dough forms. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes at 450F or until browned.
Mix butter, garlic, and parsley and brush over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet. Serve warm. Makes 12 biscuits

Baking Mix, use as Bisquick
5 lb. bag all-purpose flour
3/4 cup double-acting baking powder
3 Tablespoon salt
1 Tablespoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
2 lb. shortening
4 cup dried milk, optional
Stir baking powder, salt, cream of tartar, and sugar into flour. Sift together three times into a large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until mix is consistency of cornmeal.
Store in covered container at room temperature.

Baking Mix II, use as Bisquick
10 cups flour
1/3 cup baking powder
1 Tablespoon salt
2 cups shortening
Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl. With two knives, a pastry blender, or a food processor, add the shortening in spoonfuls and cut it in until the mixture is the texture of coarse cornmeal.
Keep mix stored in a tightly closed container. It will keep in pantry for 1 to 6 months in dry weather. In hot, humid weather, store in refrigerator.

Cheeseburger Tacos
1 lb ground meat
1 can Cheddar Cheese soup
1 teaspoon chili powder (or to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon cilantro or oregano
1 package taco shells or flour tortillas
Brown and drain ground meat. Add soup, chili powder, garlic and cilantro. Simmer at medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir occassionally. Fill up taco shells and add favorite toppings, such as lettuce, onions, or tomatoes. Or spread heated refried beans on tortilla, add some meat mixture, a little bit of rice and fold burrito style.

"No Other Love" Chicken Chicken Pieces
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
Squeeze on fresh orange juice, or pour on some made from concentrate

Place chicken in foil pan. Add soy sauce and juice. Wrap in foil and cook 1 hour at 400F.

Hot Dog & Bean Casserole

1 package of hotdogs 2 can of pork and beans
3 Tablespoons brown sugar 8 ounces of Cheddar
Mix hotdogs, beans and brown sugar together in a 8x8 casserole dish. Cover with cheese. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until heated through. Good served with corn bread.
