SEPTEMBER 1965

1 School opens. We welcome Helen Oliver, our New Zealand exchange student, and all the missile newcomers.

3 Class meetings held

10 Initiation--Green creatures wandering in our halls--they entertain us at an assembly and are entertained at a dance in the evening.

15 A. Cannon, G. Elings, and R. Cheek entertain student body with report on Girls' State. T. Bakken, T. Robinson, J. Yeager, and S. Workman likewise for Boys' State.

18 F.H. A. girls travel to Cut Bank for District Convention.

21 Margaret Graham's birthday.

OCTOBER

1 First Homecoming with parade and queen candidates. Kay Woods, chosen Queen, S. Aschim, A. Cannon, and K. Kellogg runners-up.

9 This is the football game we'd like to forget--Fort Benton beat us--and so gets the Championship!

10 Students rush post office--first edition of dinky slips in mail.

16 Latin Club Banquet--All "Roamin's" invited.

18 Norbert Ries National FFA Convention.

21-22 What a relief! Teachers leave for M.E.A. Convention.

1 Basketball practice begins--No wine, women, or song.

5 End of the First Nine Weeks. FFA-FHA hayride.

7 Miss Hughes receives her engagement ring

11 Veteran's Day--No School! Meeting for Annual Staff in Great Falls--WOWE!

12 Open House. Parents hear the other side of the story.

12-13 CSA Convention

25 Thanksgiving--Stuffed turkey and stuffed me!

21 CRAM CRAM CRAM--SEMESTER EXAMS! Head for the hills! Many students pass driver's exams.

22 Juniors come through with dance--It's about time!

26 American Legion Oratorical Contest.

29 SUE OFFERDAL CROWNED PEANUT QUEEN

30 Mr. Larsons says no more cigarettes for choir members--they all switch to cigars.

7-8 Seniors take IOWA tests

9 Band Concert--no blue notes

9-10 Sophomores take IOWA tests

10 Paul Kronebusch elected President of National Honor Society

24 Yell Squad skit--students making plans for the District Tournament. Coach and basketball boys--cool, calm, and collected.

24-25 The big tournament at Shelby--Cut Bank takes first, CONRAD second. Must play Chinook in play-off.

26 Poor kids have to take National Merit Tests.

4 Play-off game with Chinook--We win.

5 Lillian Van Dyke and Glen Baker chosen Sweetheart and Beau at annual FFA-FHA Clambake.

11-12 State "B" Tournament. Band and Cheerleaders stay at Old People's Home! It hadn't been occupied yet.

12 Pizza party at Glendive

13 Conrad gives team big welcome home--we took third.

1-2 Mr. Turner and FFA boys attend State Leadership Conference

1 Junior Class Play. Mr. Love still in school--no mumps

8 Good Friday--No school

11 Easter Monday--No school

15-16 District Music Festival in Great Falls--Band gets a I rating. Choir get II. Everybody happy!

16 Mr. Love out of school with mumps.

24 Band and Choir Concert--as usual, a good performance

28-30 G. Elings, K. Mariana, M. Gustafson, T. Bakken, B. Mancoronal accompanied by Mr. Herman left for High School Week in Bozeman.

30 Juniors honor Seniors with "Stairway to Heaven"

2 Junior-Senior Banquet.

5 State Music Festival in Missoula.

6 Phyllis Gernaat sits in Karo Syrup. Phyllis Emery wears knee socks

7 G. E., L. C., J. T., C. H., C. A. play trick or treat in certain rooms--mostly trick, ! !

8 The ride home is still ahead and school on Monday!

11 Band and Choir Concert-last concert for the Seniors

12 Mrs. Ferguson and librarians attend State Meet in Missoula

13-14 Divisional Track Meet held in Choteau

15 FHA entertain mother's at Tea

18 Home Ec. classes strut their stuff at a Style Show

20 State Interscholastic Track Meet in Missoula. CONRAD BRINGS HOME FIRST STATE TROPHY. Tom Hoover wins high honors in "B" Division!

25 AWARDS DAY-Everybody gets something. Happiest of all were Heisey winner's--it pays to improve.

26 Pat Elsberry and John Hefty retile ceiling in dark room.

27 National Honor Society Banquet in honor of the Seniors Mr. LeRoy Anderson gives the address. Last day for the Seniors

29 BACCALAUREATE--Seniors begin to realize they are about through !

30 Memorial Day--No School. Seniors leave at 3 :30 A. M. for annual SKIP DAY at Bigfork. The water was cold but everybody joined in the fun.

JUNE

1 Final exams

1 GRADUATION--the day the Seniors have been waiting for. They leave--sadder, but wiser!

2 Books checked in by underclassmen

3 Field Day taken by Juniors. School out for another year. Breathe again!!
