starts with Abraham Lincoln Gray born on February
16, 1861
in Princeton, Missouri. Abraham died on August
17, 1933
in Florence, Colorado and is buried in Florence also.
Abraham
married Stella Marie Duryea, daughter of
Albert
Peter Duryea (1842-1920) and Mary Maria
Atkinson
(1848-1876). Stella was born on October 1, 1870
in Travis
City, Michigan. She died on November 22, 1925
in Florence,
Colorado and is buried in Florence.

and Stella had the following children:

(1) Viola
Jennie Myrtle Gray. Viola had her name changed to
Violet.
She was born on July 2, 1897 in Woodward, Oklahoma
and died
on June 22, 1976 in Olney, Illinois. Violet is buried
in the
Oblong City Cemetery, Oblong, Crawford County,
Illinois.
On May 22, 1916 Violet married James Lester Fouty
in Hooker,
Texas County, Oklahoma. James was the son of
James
Madison Fouty (1857-1936) and Mary Ellen Harris
(1858-1933).
He was born on July 18, 1892 in Jasper County,
Illinois
and died on November 18, 1983 in Robinson,
Crawford
County, Illinois. James is buried next to Violet
in the
Oblong City Cemetery.
(2) Valnay Gray. Valnay married Mr. Sheldon.
(3) Flora Gray. Flora married Andy Mitchell.
(4) Dorothy Gray. Dorothy married Mr. Jackson.
(5) Beulah Jackson. Beulah married Mr. Jackson.
(6) Ruth Gray. Ruth married Oscar Gross.
(7) Vernon
Gray.
