Good work, Hannah.

Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement.
It comes at the end of
10 days of repentence,
which begins with Rosh Hashanah.

This is a serious holy day.
For ten days,
We have examined our past year
for fault, for wrongdoing,
For changes we need to make.
We’ve done a personal inventory,
Reflected and contemplated…
We are ready to begin the new year.

As the sun sets on last year,
Jews all over the world go to
The temple for the
Kol Nidrei service.

"Shuva ailay v’ahuvu aleichem,
amar Ado=Noi"
Return to me and I shall return to you,
Says God.

So it has been for 100 generations
Since we stood with Moses
and received God’s Law.
Today again we stand before God
And welcome our new year.

We rejoice in God,
In our new year.
Our faith is strenghtened,
Our faith is renewed.
