Kristin Haynes began creating designs for Cast Art's Dremsicles line in 1991 with the introduction of 29 heartwarming figurines. She continues to charm us with a collection of more than 1,200 pieces, each depicting secenes of child-like innocence and angelic inspiration. These images may take the form of the popular, wide-eyed and winged cherubs, kids in need of divine guidance, animals or holiday personalities in a number of scenes and themes or a variety of companion pieces with the distinctive Kristin "touch."

The handcrafted look that makes Dreamsicles unique features cherubs with wreath halos made of natural dried flowers and pastel ribbon bows. When Dreamsiles first appeared in retail shops, the line immediately appealed to gift buyers who were searching for the perfect little "something" for Aunt Clara's birthday. For many Dreamsicles collectors, this is how it all began-their first Dreamsicles gift started a collection, either by choice or by chance!

The Dreamsicles line also features Heavenly Classics, a wonderful marriage of Kristin Haynes' cherubs and Cast Art artists Steve and Gigi Hackett's traditional angels. There are now over 25 of these beautiful designs, which were first intorduced in 1995. In 1996, the playful Dreamsicles Kids were intorduced with colorful clothes and irresistible faces. Dreamsicles enthusiasts got a sneak peek at some of these child characters when they appeared along with cherubs in the 1995 "Dreamsicles and Me" series. Over 50 Dreamsicles Kids figurines were introduced in the first two years of this exciting new feature of the collection.

As more Dreamsicles figurines are retired and suspended, some of the older pieces are beginning to increase in value on the secondary market. Among the more coveted pieces are the elaborate limited editions that have been released each year since 1992 and are limited to a specific quantity. Annual Christmas limited editions have also been released since 1992 and are limited to one year of production. Exclusive figurines are also available to members of the rapidly-growing Dreamsicles Club, formed by Cast Art in 1993.

More and more people are discovering the magic of Dreamsicles each year and the appeal isn't limited to figurines! The elaborate Dreamsicles musicals and waterglobes have become a very popular part of the collection and the cherub theme has been incorporated into bells, ornaments, plates and much more.

Whether for gift-giving or collecting, Dreamsicles are a great way to celebrate life's special occasions. Kritin Haynes' inspirational cherubs have struck a chord with people everywhere with their childlike innoence and imaginative designs. As the collection continues to grow, it's an exciting time for Dreamsicles fans, now and for years to come!

My Dreamsicle collection has grown to more than 150 pieces. Each one has a special meaning, and holds a special place in my heart. People ask me if I would ever sale my collection, the answer is NO!! I would sale or trade any of them. I didn't buy them to make money off of them, I bought them because I thought they were cute! It is interesting, though, to check out the Collector's Guide to see how much they've increased in value. If you are looking for a hard to find piece, email me and let me know. I would love to help you find that special piece!
