Service Team Suggestions
In Golden Timbers Service Unit, we have implemented a few ideas that we believe make us a more active, well-rounded, fun to be around and top-notch Service Unit. We would like to share some of what we are doing so that others may have as great a Service Unit or Neighborhood as we do!!
At our first Service Team meeting of the year, our Service Unit Manager gave each team membe who attended, their Service Team Start-Up Kit.
By the time we held our September Service Unit meeting, our Golden Timbers Greenbacks program was ready to begin. We have held an auction at our October Service Unit meeting, where 10 or 12 items were bid on by leaders attending the meeting.
Our Service Team tries to have at least one 'mini' training at each of our SU meetings. So far this year, we have shared Christmas craft ideas. Each Team Member brought some crafts they felt were suitable for girls to make along with instruction sheets for the items. Leaders could take these ideas back to their troops to either make crafts for our Christmas Craft Fair or to make gifts for the girls' families.
