I looked out of my window at dusk and saw what appeared to be an airship in the sky. It was a kind of luminous green. With the naked eye one would suppose it was an airship, it made no noise however and was less than half a mile away. It was stationary.
I went up to my bedroom and had a look at it through my hand held telescope. I was utterly amazed at what I saw. This was no airship but a most beautiful (dare I say it) flying saucer shaped craft with flat edges. What struck me was the sheer beauty of it. It seemed to glow with a green light from within and there were some kind of hieroglyphic markings along its flattened rim. On the top there appeared a light which flashed rythmically.
It moved away slowly at first, turning as it went and through my telescope I could see it was quite clearly a flying saucer shape. As it picked up speed I lost it in the scope so I carried on looking with the naked eye. As if I had not seen enough, it suddenly gave off a most brilliant flash of orange light. This flash lasted for about one second and was far brighter than any other light on any terrestial aircraft. It flashed twice more as it sped off towards the horizon and I had the strange yet pleasant feeling that these flashes were directed at me, the observer.
It was then that I noticed two bright orange lights above the horizon which literally just SWITCHED ON. They hung in the sky, too big to be stars and definitely not terrestial aircraft. They were above the receding UFO. The green UFO disappeared and the two bright orange lights switched off and all that was left was an empty, cloudless, starless dusk evening sky.
I used to be very sceptical about UFO sightings. Now I have seen a UFO at close quarters I have no doubts that such craft do exist. What struck me was the obviousness of it being there. This beautiful, seemingly trancendent craft was clearly visible through my scope. I look forward to further sightings.
