Everyone seems to have the elusive family line,always  
around but not quite the connection. The FEIST line is  
mine. Mary Elizabeth (Mamie)HOFMANN was said to 
"intermarry" with Edward F.FEIST (My Grandfather). I can find
no reason for the "inter" marriage part.Both lines were 
Catholic and as far as I can tell and I have found no 
relatives that they share.

Edward Frederich FEIST arrived from Germany (the Ruhr 
Valley Region) sometime in the 1870's.He married,
settled in Brooklyn,had children and made his fortune 
as a Baker.
At one time he owned a bakery on Knickerbocker Ave.
in  Brooklyn, New York.

Rumor is that he and a brother Frederich had a
"falling out" and never spoke to each other even 
though they lived a few blocks from each other.
Ironically,they are both buried in 
Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
side by side in different grave sites.How sad to live 
in Eternity together and not have shared their lives.

Frederich and his family and his wife ALBERS are there.
It is now operated under Catholic Cemetery in Middle Village  
Queens,NY.They have always been extremely helpful to me
in my searches.Please stop and take a look at"Scattered Leaves"for 
random burials in the FEIST,HOFMANN line.
