This is my grandfather, Joseph Wright 1878-1951, son of James Wright 1839-1914. Joseph was born at 26,Pool Street, Widnes and moved to Southport to train as a linotype operator with the Southport Visiter newspaper. He met and married Nellie Johnson in 1902. She was the daughter of John Johnson a farmer of Links Lane Farm. The family later moved to St Annes on Sea where he worked until retirement as a linotype operator with the Lytham St Annes Express weekly newspaper.
Grandfather Joseph Wright is in the middle at the back, wife Nellie (1880-1960) on the left with son John (1905-1981) on his right. In the front row we have children Henry (1920-1945), Mabel (1907-1978) and Annie (1916-1990)
