Values

We stand at the crossroads, each minute, each hour, each day, making choices. We choose the thoughts we allow ourselves to think, the passions we allow ourselves to feel, and the actions we allow ourselves to perform. Each choice is made in the context of whatever value system we've selected to govern our lives. In selecting that value system, we are, in a very real way, making the most important choice we will ever make." ~~~~Benjamin Franklin

What are values? Simply put, values are determined by what we consider to be important. A Latter-day Saint lives by certain principles, which govern our thoughts, words and deeds. There are twelve months in a year....and each month has been "assigned" a value. The goal is to progress as an individual...and as a family. All the information below has been provided by my friend, Dawn, who received this information in Relief Society homemaking and has worked hard to put it all together. Our hope is that this will be something that you will want to work on throughout the year.

~~A YEAR'S WORTH OF VALUES~~

January: Order and Goals
February: Love and Kindness
March: Family Unity
April: Becoming More Spiritual
May: Self Reliance and Potential
June: Membership in the Church
July: Heritage
August: Letting Our Light Shine
September: Purpose
October: Obedience
November
December

Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. I will be adding more months as Dawn sends the information. A lot of work goes into what she has been doing, so I know you can appreciate the need for patience while she completes this labor of love.
