The Music you are listening to is
"How much is that doggie in the window"

Hello. I don't belong
on this page, but I
thought that I would
stick my head in anyway.

Hello, I'm Bonnie.

Is'nt it terrible that a
wee lassie has to
go through such a
shocking thing?"

"Woof Woof Woof" (translation) "Welcome to Bonnies home."

"
They had better have the dryer

on warm, I ken tell ya"

Good day laddies and lassies.
My name is Bonnie and I now live
in the Freeburn household.
I am a Scottish Cairn Terrier and my breed
originated in the West Highlands of Scotlandand
the Hebrides, and I am one of the oldest Scottish breeds.

The function of my ancestors, was tae hunt fox,
wild cat, otter and other vermin. I have been described
as fearless, alert and a very delightful tae know.

I have'nt been here long,but already they
do as I ask them.
Like take me for walks and feed me on time,
but I am a little bit fussey in what I like tae eat.

Besides the humans that I am living with,
I also have tae share the house with a cat of all things.
Don't they know that cats are one of my sworn enemies!
Back where I come from, in Scotland, they were what
my ancestors used tae chase all day long, and now I
have tae live with one of the creatures.

Absolutly disgusting I say.
Fancy living with a a a a cat for goodness sake,
and worst of all, I'm nae allowed tae chase her.

It's enough tae break a wee lassies heart, d'you think?

Later on, I will let ye know just how well I am getting
on with my new family and Pixie, ye know, that other
animal who lives here.

"Lean gu dluth ri cliu do shinnsre",
says the gaelic proverb:
(Translation)" Let us follow in the brave
path of our ancestors

Now I think that my new family want
tae say a few words about me.

"Well now, d'ye think that it was

          worth all the trouble?"

On Sunday 28th March 1999, a small,
silver-gray bundle of
fur came into our lives.
We named her Bonnie.

The first meeting we had with Bonnie,
was at the R.S.P.C.A
shelter in our home town of Bendigo,
which is the center of Victoria, Australia.

The reason we were at the R.S.P.C.A
was because Margaret had heard on the radio,
that they were going to display and sell
some of their small dogs at the park.

When we arrived there were no dogs to be seen,
except the ones being taken for walks by their owners.
We decided to take a trip over to the animal
shelter to see the dogs there.

On arrival we were greeted by what seemed
like pandemonium, but it was just a great number
of dogs shouting their greetings.
You should have seen the sad faces.

Actully, we had no intentions of purchasing
a dog when we left home, but being the softies
that we both are,you can see what happened.
We asked if we could see the small dogs, of course
they did'nt say no.
".
The first one they brought out was Bonnie,
and we just said, Don't bother to bring out any more,
we will take this one and don'tbother to wrap her,
we will take her as she is.
"
Because both of us had totally fallen in love with
her on sight.

If you have already been to our family history page,
you will have seen Margarets ancestory is nearly all
Scottish, so Bonny just hit the spot and was the
perfect little pooch Margaret had always wanted,
seeing we were never going to have another dog!

So now I am totally outnumbered, with three females
in the house and me the only male, that is until Les
gets home from Canada.

We will let you know just how well Bonnie is getting
on with us in the very near future, and how her
and Pixie are surviving together.
I must admit that she has endeared herself to everyone
that has met her.

Well as you can see on our family page,
Les has arrived home and taken
possession of Bonnie. He has also been smitten
by her beguilling ways

"Ahh, and so to bed. Good night! "

Hey!!!Look at me.
They shaved me!
I am supposed to have
long flowing silver hair.
But now they tell me I am alergic
to flea bites. Can ye beat that now?
