My wife's ancestor John R. HOGG was married on 6 Sep 1849 in Salem, Washington Co., IN to Margaret HUMPHREY (1832-1917).  According to his wife's obituary he died in 1872. I have not yet located and info on John's place of birth, nor parents, nor siblings, nor even found him on a census.  John and Margaret had 9 children, of whom the second child, William E. Hogue (1853-1927) is my wife's direct line.  This stone wall has stymied me for 20 years, so if you can help, thank you.    Doc

I am up against a brick wall on my Hogue research.  One of my maternal GG's was Jenny HOGUE, born 1846, married Calvin ROBERTS 1870, died 1926.  Have been unable to find her parents, or anyone else connected to her.  Only other info I have on the HOGUE's came from the cemetery listings at the Logan County, Ohio site.  They did have three children: Ann (1863-1950), Cora M. (1875-1933), and Pearl Louise (1876-1968).    Adam
