"Hands free carrying" enables nurturing of one's child in the best possible way while you work or play. This baby carrier is receiving enthusiastic support from hospital and university pediatric departments, lactation consultants, baby authors, natural childbirth educators, birthing centers and chiropractors.

Dad and babyThe "Over the Shoulder Baby Holder" is one of the most versatile carriers, allowing you to carry the baby in front lying down or sitting up, on your hip, or on your back. The way it adjusts using the rings means you can wear a newborn snug and high on your chest, and a few minutes later a toddler on your hip. It is one of the easiest to learn how to use.

Over the Shoulder Baby Holder has a unique fold which creates a hammock effect for the nursing infant or sleeping child, with twice the padding of other slings. Carrying an infant close to the heart and baby's source of nourishment promotes bonding and intimacy. Infants feel very secure and thrive.

Mother nursing her baby in a slingBeing carried in this way lays the foundation for good feelings of self-worth and sociability. Your baby can be exposed to a variety of experiences and yet feel safe and secure in its cocoon. The "womb with a view."

Baby can lay down to sleep or nurse with head supported. This takes the weight off the spine. The sling supports the baby's head, follows the natural contour of the spine & keeps legs together.

All slings are $40.00, and they are available in many fashionable colors. You can purchase a sling from La Leche League of Teaneck, NJ one of three ways:
