Hi. I've been in your shoes and know exactly how you are feeling. 6-1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. They gave me a 50/50 chance of survival. I told the doctor I would take the 50% survival. I have been cancer free since the surgery. I had a right mastectomy and although my body is different, nothing else about me changed. I'm still the same person with the same feelings - maybe a better person since my priorities in life definitely changed when I was faced with cancer. My life is the best it's ever been now. I met my husband after the surgery and he is the most wonderful gift God has ever given me. I am here if you need to talk or have any questions. I had chemotherapy (9 times) and was able to work during that time. Don't let the word cancer scare you or change your life or who you are. KNOW that with God's help you can beat it! I try to focus on something positive each day and always try to think positive about my life and my future. Hope this helps - please e-mail me if you would like to talk more.
