Finding quality care for your children takes time, patience and commitment. It’s not easy. But the care your children receive from birth to age 12 will shape their future. When you can’t be there, it’s comforting to know that your children are in an environment where they will grow and reach their full potential. When it comes to child care, choose wisely. Introduce your children to Praise Mountain Daycare and After School Program where they will receive higher learning through a spirit of excellence.
Research shows that the benefits of quality child care and school-age care are astounding – it can build a child’s self-confidence, love of learning and curiosity and can give your child the foundation for a better life.
Learning how to identify quality care will help you find a child care provider that is right for your child and your family situation. Our hope is that this brochure will give you a starting place to identify what quality care is and will serve as a guideline in selecting quality child care or school-age care for your children.

THE PERSON CARING FOR YOUR CHILD:
Is the caregiver warm and nurturing? At Praise Mountain Day Care, we developed a personal relationship with each child. We are patient and interested in what each child is saying. We talk to and treat the children as little people with their own identity.
Does the caregiver offer activities that encourage independent exploration and discovery? The children get to explore the various learning objects that are available for each age group.
Is the caregiver trained and experienced? We receive on-going training in child development and related areas. We genuinely enjoy caring for and nurturing children. We have certified CPR and First Aid staff.

THE PROGRAM:
Does the caregiver except government and state sponsored programs? We have competitive pricing and offer discounts when multiple children of the same household are enrolled. We accept GA Peach, Save The Children, and other subsidy programs.
Does the program have one or more adults assigned to a small group of children? The children are supervised at all times. There are enough adults to give individual attention to each child.
Does the program offer access to a wide variety of activities, materials and equipment that match the child’s level of development and interests? We have separate classrooms for each age group with various levels of developmental stages. We also acquaint children to using computers.

THE PLACE:
Does the provider offer nutritious meals and snacks? We offer breakfast, lunch, and not just a snack, but a nutritious meal for after schoolers.
Does the provider meet health and safety standards? Our facilities are clean and comfortable. We have safe equipment and developmentally outdoor play areas. We have a huge commercial kitchen for preparing the meals.
Does the provider foster a partnership with parents? We take the time to discuss your child with you on a regular basis. We are open to your thoughts, suggestions and questions. You are welcome anywhere in the program at all times. We encourage parent participation in activities and field trips. Are the children happy? Your child will be happy here enjoying higher learning through a spirit of excellence in a Christian environment. Come check us out and see for yourself.
