I always called it "Betty Bonnet". :o) My paternal grandmother made a crib quilt just like this for me when I was a baby. I still have it although it is not in very good shape. This quilt certainly brought back the memories. Larry did such a good job on his web page that I have to catch up with him. I was impressed with how he set it up. Not bad for his first page ever. I helped a little bit. He picked out the song. He told you all about our life, except where I work. I just started (8-7-00) working as Secretary to the Fire Chief for the local city fire department. I had been working part-time the last 3 years as I was principal caregiver for my 80 year old mother-in-law who was in very bad health during that period of time. She passed away 5-1-00. I love Barbie! I started collecting new ones about 5 years ago. I don't have that many, but I enjoy the ones I have. I don't buy the most expensive ones, but just the ones I particularly like. My passion is Vintage Barbie items. I have my original Barbie from 1961. She has short dark brown hair which is known as a Bubblecut Barbie. I have Ken, Midge, Alan, Skipper, Skooter, Ricky and all the other friends. I have an original Barbie Dream House from 1961. The best part about collecting is the memories that it brings to mind from my childhood. I was a Barbie freak then and still am! I enjoy reading fiction: mystery and crime novels. Patricia Cornwell is my favorite. Another hobby I am enjoying immensely is building these web pages. I have another site finished now. It is about a family of mice -- The Martin Mouse family -- and their home with really cute graphics by Vikimouse. It is for children and adults of all ages. Click on their house to go there now.
